Terms of Use
Last Updated: April 2025
Welcome to Typegrove. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Typegrove website, applications, tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Nick DiRamio Productions LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Typegrove is a brand and business extension of Nick DiRamio Productions LLC.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence, to create an account or use paid features of the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
2. Your Account
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your login credentials secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or other users, or are used fraudulently, unlawfully, or abusively.
3. The Service
Typegrove allows users to upload artwork, lettering, images, symbols, prompts, and other materials and use our tools to generate, edit, preview, export, download, and manage font-related files, assets, and outputs.
We may modify, update, remove, suspend, or limit any part of the Service at any time, including features, file types, usage limits, and pricing.
4. User Content
"User Content" means any files, artwork, images, text, prompts, font names, metadata, symbols, lettering, and other content you upload, submit, generate, store, or transmit through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights you grant us in these Terms.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own or control all rights necessary to upload and use your User Content with the Service;
- your User Content and use of the Service do not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, trade dress, privacy, publicity, contract, or proprietary rights;
- your User Content does not contain harmful code or unlawful material; and
- your User Content and use of the Service comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
5. License You Grant to Us
You grant Nick DiRamio Productions LLC, in connection with operating Typegrove, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, adapt, display, transmit, and use your User Content solely as needed to:
- operate, provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- generate requested outputs and deliver them to you;
- troubleshoot issues, detect abuse, and secure the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce these Terms.
We do not use your uploads or generated outputs to train general-purpose models unless you expressly opt in.
6. Generated Output
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Typegrove grants you the right to use the outputs you generate through the Service for your personal or commercial purposes, unless a different license is clearly stated on the pricing page, at checkout, or in a separate written agreement.
You understand and agree that:
- outputs may not be unique;
- similar or identical outputs may be generated for other users;
- we do not guarantee that outputs are free from third-party claims;
- we do not guarantee that any font, typeface, glyph set, font name, or related output is protectable, registrable, enforceable, or exclusive; and
- you are solely responsible for reviewing, clearing, and validating your outputs before commercial use.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any law or regulation;
- upload or use content you do not have rights to use;
- upload malware, spyware, harmful code, or destructive files;
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, probe, or disrupt the Service;
- bypass rate limits, security measures, or access restrictions;
- use the Service to create unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, or fraudulent material;
- use third-party trademarks, names, logos, or brand identifiers in a way that causes infringement or consumer confusion;
- resell, sublicense, white-label, or commercially exploit the Service itself without written permission;
- use bots, harvesting methods, or unauthorized automated access to build a competing service; or
- interfere with the experience, security, or rights of other users.
8. Fees, Billing, and Subscriptions
Some features may require payment. You agree to pay all fees shown at the time of purchase.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms.
For subscriptions:
- your subscription renews automatically until canceled;
- you authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis;
- pricing, billing intervals, usage limits, included features, and overage rules will be shown at checkout or on your account page;
- you may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@typegrove.com; and
- cancellation stops future renewals, but fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our Refund Policy.
We may change pricing for future billing periods by giving notice before the change takes effect.
8a. AI and Generative Content
Typegrove uses automated, machine-learning, and generative techniques (collectively, "AI Features") to vectorize artwork, recognize glyphs, and assemble font files from your uploads.
Acceptable use of AI Features. You agree not to use the Service to generate, request, or distribute:
- illegal content, child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits minors;
- deepfakes, impersonations, or content that misrepresents real people without consent;
- hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that incites violence;
- malware, phishing kits, or content designed to defraud or deceive;
- content that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, trade dress, or other rights; or
- prompts, payloads, or workflows intended to jailbreak, bypass, or disable our safety filters.
Your responsibility for inputs and outputs. You are solely responsible for the prompts and source artwork you submit, for verifying you have the rights to use them, and for how you use any output. AI Features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected results. Outputs are not legal, professional, or business advice and should be reviewed before any commercial, regulated, or safety-critical use.
IP rights, takedowns, and repeat infringers. You retain rights in your inputs, subject to the license in Section 5. We respect third-party IP rights. If you believe a user's inputs or outputs infringe your rights, send a takedown request to support@typegrove.com identifying the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information. We may remove content, restrict outputs, suspend accounts for repeat infringement, and cooperate with rights-holders and authorities as appropriate.
Moderation. We may filter, refuse, or remove AI outputs and inputs at our discretion to enforce these Terms or comply with law. We may use automated systems to do so.
9. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on new Typegrove Pro subscriptions and process refunds through our payment provider, Paddle. Full details — including how to request a refund and what is covered — are described in our Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, interface, site design, text, graphics, branding, logos, workflows, and underlying technology, is owned by Nick DiRamio Productions LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
"Typegrove," related logos, and associated branding are trademarks, service marks, or trade dress of Nick DiRamio Productions LLC. You may not use them without prior written permission.
11. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction or compensation.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services, including payment processors, analytics providers, authentication providers, storage hosts, or communication tools. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or liability, failed to pay fees, or misused the Service.
Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nick DiRamio Productions LLC, including Typegrove, disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, security, and error-free operation.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of bugs, or that any output will be accurate, unique, lawful, protectable, or commercially suitable.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nick DiRamio Productions LLC, Typegrove, and their officers, directors, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nick DiRamio Productions LLC, Typegrove, and their affiliates, personnel, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to:
- your User Content;
- your use of the Service;
- your violation of these Terms; or
- your violation of any law or third-party right.
17. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version and revise the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
