Can I use fonts I make in Typegrove in commercial projects?
Yes. Fonts you create in Typegrove are yours, and you can use them in commercial projects — client work, products, packaging, websites, anything you build. You keep full rights to both the artwork you upload and the fonts you make. If you make and sell many fonts, Pro gives you unlimited projects and the tools to do it at scale.
What's the difference between OTF and WOFF/WOFF2?
OTF (OpenType) is the standard font format for desktop use. You install it on your computer and use it in any app — Word, Canva, Procreate, Figma, your iPad. WOFF and WOFF2 are web font formats: compressed versions designed for websites so pages load fast. All Typegrove plans export OTF. Pro adds WOFF and WOFF2 export.
Can I use my own handwriting?
Yes — that's the whole point. Write out the alphabet on paper (or in any drawing app), photograph it or save it as an image, upload it, and Typegrove turns it into a working font. You can also upload hand-lettered artwork, brush lettering, or illustrations as SVG or raster (PNG/JPG) files.
Do I need Adobe, Illustrator, or any other software?
No. Typegrove runs entirely in your browser. There's nothing to install, no plugins, and no Adobe subscription required. If you can open a web page, you can make a font.
Can I cancel anytime?

How does Auto-assign with AI work?
Upload a sheet of your lettering and Typegrove finds each letterform automatically, then maps it to the right character for you. You can review and remap any character by hand — AI does the tedious part, and you stay in control. Auto-assign with AI is a Pro feature.
Do you keep my artwork? Who owns my fonts?
You own everything. Your artwork is only used to build your fonts, and you keep full rights to both the artwork you upload and the fonts you make. Your projects stay in your account, and you can export or delete them whenever you like.
